Artist Statement

Moss and lichens thrive in their entanglement, their super-power is being small and almost invisible, their evoLUtion is driven by their fluidity, resistance and dynamism. These series of photographs are a provocative re/action to the results of our current research on zoonotic diseases and the relations between humans and more-than-humans.

Clara Juando-Prats

Clara Juando-Prats is a mother, a dog lover, and a critical health scholar using creative practices to explore the relations between health, humans, and more-than-humans. Her artwork is an invitation to listen and breathe the teachings shared by moss and the almost invisible lichens.
