Artist Statement

The Climate Gathering recognized children as key to our global community, emphasizing the need to protect their food sources. My imagined garden, now realized, is a pesticide-free, inclusive space, blooming with hope, welcoming all, and supporting bees. Creating art to help, one small step at a time.

Irene Warmenhoven

Irene, born in toxic Kirkland Lake Ontario, experienced firsthand the horrors of industrial mining and is a survivor of environmental pollution. Worried about her children's health and living in such world she turned to Art to express her love of nature and her disappointment in the direction mankind has taken.
