The Nanoscale Science Laboratory
Dancing Molecules on Surfaces
Artist Statement
The Nanoscale Science Laboratory is a group of enthusiastic students and researchers in this building. Based in nanoscale/surface science, we perform research to design and make novel low-dimensional nanomaterials through an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of chemistry, physics, and materials science. The slides show a series of images taken at the Laboratory using both ambient and Ultra High Vacuum Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM). STM allows us to show nanoscale-resolution images of molecules, giving us a glimpse into the beauty of nature at the nano-scale. For more information, see: nanolabebrahimi.com
