Hand of Immorality

Picture
Hand of Immorality (24" x 48")

Artist Statement

This is an exploration of humanity's desire of immortality. Be it through medicine, technology, or some yet-to-be discovered means, the need to be more might be the very folly that prevents it from ever happening. Bone and metal, blood with copper, light with the ether. Does our hope of the unending life corrupt the outcomes of our paths?

Ryan Wilkie

Ryan Wilke is an independent artist exploring different media and materials. He has had two art pieces in juried exhibitions at  DefSup Gallery. He  enjoys participating in themed annual art challenges with other local artists and encourages others to join to explore artistic endeavours. Ryan also enjoys photography, studying different genres, subjects, and themes of light and dark.
