Call for Art Works 2023

Submissions Due: Monday, February 6, 2023

We are inviting works that describe, interpret, promote, and reference research in any scholarly field responding to Lakehead University’s 2023 Research and Innovation theme, “Improving Our Lives Through Learning.” The LAIR Galleries at Lakehead University will have an on-campus Walking Tour Exhibition launch during Lakehead University’s Research and Innovation Week (February 27 - March 2) in Thunder Bay, ON.

This call is for our annual juried exhibition.  We will review local submissions that can be hung in one of our Thunder Bay gallery locations. We are also able to showcase non-local digital submissions through three of our large exhibition screens through looping video slides. Artworks are on exhibit for one year and photos and videos of accepted works will also remain on the LAIR website exhibit archive.

The submission process requires title, year, media, dimensions, a 50 word bio and an artist’s statement (project abstract) of 50 words including a link to further information about your project if available.

All submissions are juried.
Complete online proposals due: Monday, February 6, 2023
