Ecological Consciousness through Embodied Transformation Class
Ecological Art Exhibit
Artist Statement
We, the M.Ed. Class of Ecological Consciousness through Embodied Transformation, from Bangladesh, Canada, China, India, and Korea, under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Puk (Fall 2020), created the “Ecological Art Exhibit". The project aimed to advocate for ecological consciousness and demonstrate the relationship between humans and the natural world. The project primarily involved creating an interactive ecological art exhibit composed of individual "petals" and the concept of Happiness described in six different languages. The exhibit was made of natural materials and includes sub-themes on ecological literacy, reciprocal relationships with natural processes, and developing an emotional connection with nature.
