Prickly Pear Cactus: Goddess of the Coulées

Artist Statement

Driven by curiosity I became fascinated with the Prickly Pear Cactus of the Coulées. Her presence can easily go amiss, hidden in grasses and in cracks and crevices. Over two summers I photo documented her life cycle. I offer artistic photographs with accompanying vignettes that reflect this creation-centred inquiry.
