Patrick Joseph Doyle

Artist's Statement

Whilst painting, I seek to create an alchemy that fuses implied narrative with the physical and material properties of paint(ing.) I deliberately paint dense and involved surfaces, and invite the viewer to investigate and experience territory and events. It is  the process and act of painting that is my focus, not the destination. This permits me to display an episodic terrain wherein imitations of my personal and psychological communities live.
