Denise Petitpas

Disruptive

Anchored and humbled by six-years of re/search of Indigenous perspectives and inspired by Diamond’s (2007) Theatre for Living, these inner-dialogues aim to connect with, unsettle, and incite teachers to push through the fear of wrongdoing currently paralyzing the enactment of their responsibilities in the TRC’s (2015) Calls to Action.

Denise Petitpas

Denise Petitpas (OCT, MEd) is a Franco-Ontarian settler and arts-based teacher educator who researches the necessity of treaty education for ethical relationality with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples. By creating in French, Denise decenters the dominant colonial English narrative making a statement for equal opportunities to engage in knowledge-seeking in one’s mother tongue.
